Sparrow's Medallion

The intricately woven copper wire on one side of the howlite skull perfectly offsets the simplicity of the three natural red malachite on the other.

This piece was initially inspired by the vitorian idea of Mometo Mori but, by the time I was finished with it, the medallion itself ended up reminding me far more of a pirate medallion (hence the name "Sparrow's Medallion").

The pendant hangs low on three copper chains, interspersed with more of the red malachite rounds, making this an ideal amulet for men as well as women. The chains are long enough to easily slip over the wearer's head, but I've added a lobster clasp on the back anyway.
